Still Ballin’ Festival

Be part of Generation’s 2.0 RED upcoming street festival!

This September, on the 24^th , we plan to hold our “Still Ballin’” event, an all-day celebration for diversity, equality and inclusion, with free entrance for all. Skateboard lessons for kids, afro-fitness sessions, dance battles, graffiti artists, a fashion show and a great live concert will take place at Palio Amaxostasio in downtown Athens. Your support is essential for us so we can gather the necessary funds to host the event.

Our team, Generation 2.0 for Rights, Equality & Diversity is a nonprofit organization consisting of migrants and Greeks who work together to empower these “new Greeks” so they can help form, and participate in, a diverse society.Learn more about us at Generation 2.0 RED.

For the organization of this event we enlisted the help of Minos Zombanakis, a 17 year old junior at Campion School in Athens, who has shown great interest in our work. Minos and his friends Dimitris Vazeos, Vassilis Konstantakopoulos and Giovani Giano, have been with us from the start, planning the event and raising funds through their personal networks. They will also be leading a team of volunteers from their schools on the day.

The main goal of the festival is to integrate, accept and allow for the visibility and coexistence of Athens’ diverse communities; migrants, refugees and people with different origins and identities, who share the same neighborhoods but also common love for an Athenian and Greek society with equal opportunities for all.
