Hey guys,

My name is Gabor, I am a 31 year old guy from Hungary. A little bit about my background, originally I am a Humankinesiologist, I earned my Masters Degree in 2018 at the Hungarian Sport University.

During my university years I used to work in America in summer camps (I have spent 7 beautiful summers in the USA) and I fell in love with the cosiness of the coffee shops there. The atmosphere of sitting inside a local coffee shop in New York sipping my grande latte and just looking around seeing all the people around me doing the same was a vibe that caught me and stuck with me. A businessman wearing suit and tie might be on my left working on his laptop, two college students on my right having a date, chatting and a beardy construction worker with grey hair in front of me chilling and staring at the ceiling thinking about life. All these people around me in different stages of their lives with different financial background and different interests and lifestyles have one thing in common. We all came here for one thing. Enjoy a cup of nice, delicious coffee.

The atmosphere I experienced in some very comfortable welcoming coffee shops made me think I shall open one myself. I believe drinking coffee is not just about the drink. It is about the feeling, the sense of a good day, the awareness of life, part of the small, meaningful and enjoyable things in life. Running my own coffee shop and give back the same feeling to people I get when sitting in a home-like café is one of my big long term plans, but as for start I would like to get a successful coffee bike running.

Why Kazakhstan?

Any time I visit my godson in Almaty, Kazakhstan, I always notice how this beautiful city lacks in a place to find a good cup of coffee at a reasonable price. A coffee bike in Almaty will be something new, special and authentic on the market. I want people in that area know that there are other - much quicker - opportunities for getting and enjoying their favourite take-away drink than queuing for long times in a shopping mall in an unreasonably expensive well-known multinational coffeehouse chain. I want to treat people to a new, authentic and fast solution to getting a coffee that won't make you feel out of pocket with a great service and attractive pricing.

My idea

The coffee bike will run on the name of Steppe Coffee Bike. The idea for the name came from the beautiful scenic steppes that the country of Kazakhstan has.

I don't want to bore you guys with the detailed menu, but some of the choices that will be available for you on the coffee bike will be classic and special coffees, teas, muffins, pastries, cookies. Coffees will be served hot and cold, in three different sizes with loads of flavours you can choose from. Americanos, lattes, cappuccinos, espressos, macchiatos, mochas and café au laits are just a few examples of what you can choose from. Vegan options will also be available as well with soy milk, almond milk, coconut milk, cow milk and many more.

Buying a take-away drink at Steppe Coffee Bike will be an authentic experience on a competitive price coming with an outstanding service.

What needs to be bought

In other words where does your donation go.

I believe that a good quality coffee can not be done without having the proper equipment. You can make coffee with cheaper machines, but - at least from my experience - it's not gonna taste the same. Therefore I aim for the necessary equipment with the best quality. To set up the business I will need:

- A stainless-steal premium coffee cart

- A premium quality duel espresso machine

- A commercial coffee grinder

- A fresh water tank and a waste water tank

- A water pump with water filter

- An ice making machine

- An attachable electric bike

I will also need to take into consideration the necessary licences and permits in Kazakhstan, the insurance (general liability and worker's compensation), stock and operational cost for the first two months.

Why help me?

I want to give something back to the society and treat people with some delicious products that I put my heart and soul in. I want to put smile on people's faces when purchasing a drink on an affordable price and seeing them start the day with a tasty cup of coffee.

Website, instagram page and facebook page is coming soon.
