Plastics and other non biodegradable materials contributes to the majority of waste/garbage collected in the Philippines. Long term effects are drainage clogging that leads to flooding even with little rainfall. The waste materials also take a very long time to decompose so they just pile up in landfills. This research and startup project is to make new products like bricks, mold materials and other craft items. This will provide and create new jobs for people and also lessen the plastic garbage disposal for up to 50%.
The very first research we had been involved is the combination of saw dust and plastic to make bricks. They were used as asphalt replacement to minor and major road cracks. The project was discontinued due to lack of support and funds. With the revival of this project and researching more to plastic and waste reduction techniques we can maximize its potential to an eco friendly environment.
For reference here is a sample from other sites that uses plastic and other materials. With this the project is possible and feasible enough to be started in the Philippines.
