Spine Surgery for Mama Lea

There’s no easy way to start this letter but I am humbly asking your help for my Mother.

I am Louise Bianca Sandoval, the daughter of Leavigilda Sandoval who will be receiving your donation. She was diagnosed with Breast Cancer Stage 3A last 2020. She has completed 8 cycles of chemotherapy and has not yet undergone radiotherapy because the cancer has spread to her bones. She now has Stage 4 Bone Metastases. Last May 2023, on Mother's Day, she became bedridden. Come June 27, 2023, the results of her bone scan came out and we found out that multiple metastases have spread to her bones, and she urgently needs treatment.

My mother is a Licensed Master's Teacher in a public school, a very generous and kind person, and a career woman. It pains me to see my mother lying down. She feels so helpless because all her life, she has been very active, always helping those in need, whether they are friends, siblings, coworkers, or relatives. She has always been just one call away, ready to help anyone.

We have not been able to start radiotherapy because, after her CT scan, the results showed compression in her spine. We need the opinion of an orthopedic surgeon to determine if surgery can still help my mother since the cancer has spread to her bones. We have one option, which is to operate on her spine. This would require 8 screws and the estimated cost of the operation is around Php500,000. Our family's funds are already depleted, and I can only think of reaching out to people with kind hearts who are willing to help.

We are sincerely knocking on your doors, and if you can provide our family with any financial support, we will be immensely thankful. Your generosity will make a significant difference in her life. I would be providing documents like bone scans, MRI, CT scans, and the results of her previous breast surgery. Also, I attached several pictures of my mom at the moment, and what she was like years before being diagnosed with cancer. I apologize for any inconvenience. We are in desperate need of your help.
