The Club

The South Mandurah Football Club has been a part of the local community for over 35 years. The club has been the center of the community for thousands of children over the years and has seen these players develop into men, women who then continue to enjoy our great game into the senior club. The club has been and continues to lead the Peel community on and off the field. Our facilities have been in place for the entire era of the club and have now become out dated for the ongoing changes that are now occurring within the club. With the continued growth of the club in both Junior and Senior ranks now is the time for better facilities at the Falcon Oval.

Now & The Future

In 2018 the Junior Club had over 500 participants, boys and girls from Auskick to Tear 11/12. The Senior club had over 120 male players (3 sides) and 30 female players as well as 30 senior Netball players. Our teams in all grades continue to be successful year after year with both the Junior and Senior Clubs being successful in being Champion Clubs over the last few years..

Population growth in the community is expected to continue for the future, this will see more participants in the Junior Club and the will see the explosion of female football into our community. 2018 saw the introduction of the first Senior Women's side which had over 30 players put on the clubs jumper and got them to be Runner Up Premiers in their first year. The introduction of Women's football has seen new people, new sponsors and new members join our local community.

The Development

In 2017 the club began plans to look at what it could do to ensure that the facilities that are available to all the players are suitable for the ongoing growth expectation but also the growth of female football. It was found that the current facilities were certainly not suitable to accommodate female participants but also grossly out dated. In conjunction with the City Of Mandurah and one of the Senior club sponsors (Ryza Homes) plans have been developed that will ensure the club has the best facilities available for all of its participants - young and old.

Some funding has been sourced from the City of Mandurah, Department of Sport & Recreation, WAFC, some of our fantastic sponsors in Ryza Homes, Wormall Civil, Reece Plumbing, Alcoa just too name a few. Our members, players and supporters will also ensure that labor will not be a issue with many already committing to donating their time and skills to the project.

The club is continuing to source funds to ensure the project is completed on time for the start of the 2019 season and your help is now asked for. If you are able to assist financially in any way towards the future of the club and its many players then it would be a commitment that will be lasting for many years to come. Any amount will be accepted as it all will be going to the clubs future. There will be certain donation amounts that will provide opportunities for donors to be recognized ongoing at the club.

Thankyou to all the people who will contribute to this project in the coming months either financially or with their time. If you think you can do more then please don't hesitate to contact the club either by email to [email protected] or by contacting Darren on 0413 440 492

Looking forward to some significant changes to the club and another successful year in 2019.
