The people of the Talensi district of Ghana are mostly farmers and they also experience one short rainy season in the whole year. Widows also participate in farming even at very old age.
WunAid Foundation decided to provide a sustainable source of livelihood for widows who can no more participate in farming. So the idea of training these widows in soap making and packaging the soaps they will make for them for both the local and international market came to mind.
So far, 32 widows have registered to participate in the soap making training that will commence on the 24th July to the 28th July, 2017. Videos and pictures will be sent to donors on daily basis when the event commences.
Updates on the number of people registering will be updated daily.
