Sirens fund for stemcell treatment

My name is Siren Cathrine Johnsen.

I am a 44 year old woman. Single mother of a beautiful seven year old boy Fillip. My pride and joy in life. Six years ago I was diagnosed with Multiple sclerosis. MS is a demyelinating disease in which the insulating covers of nerve cells in the brain and spinal cord are damaged.

This damage disrupts the ability of parts of the nervous system to communicate, resulting in a range of signs and symptoms. Symptoms may include visual changes, numbness, tingling or weakness (weakness may range from mild to severe), paralysis, vertigo, incontinence (or conversely, urinary retention),muscle spasticity, painful involuntary muscle contractions.

In other words, my future is not a bright one...

There is no cure for MS. As terrifying as it is for me to battle this disease- the worst thing for me is not being able to take care of my son in the future.

BUT today, new treatments and advances in research are giving me new hope! STEMCELL treatment can rebuild my immune system and I my biggest dream is that this treatment can not only improve my quality of life but also make me capable of being the best mother I can be for my son, for many years to come.

Sadly, I am not a canditate for this treatment in Norway....And I get no financial support for treatment abroad.

I have been approved for treatment in Manila in the end of september, but time is running out for me to get funds to cover the expenses. I am currently in a position where we could loose our home in order to raise the money. The price of stemcell treatment in Manila is 55 000$ (about 470 000 Norwegian kroner). That is why this fundraiser is my last hope of a brighter future together with my son, my friends and my family.
