Sindo Kobadia Road Rehabilitation

Dear Donor,

Thank you for your generous support in the past. I don’t take lightly the fact that you have set aside some of your hard earned money—even harder in times like these—to support the rehabilitation of Sindo Kobadia Road.

I want to share with how your support, and the support of others across this great nation of ours, will help to make the lives of the residents that depend on this road a lot more easier.

For years residents living along this road have been left in the dark due to the poor infrastructure that hinders development and mobility. The community is cut off from technological development and emerging markets in more urban areas. This has led to social isolation among the residents, many of whom have limited access to media and news outlets. Such isolation hinders integration with urban society and established markets, which could result in greater development and economic security. Access to the nearest medical facility miles away is a big problem, rushing the sick or pregnant women to hospital is very expensive among the poor residents. Many seek Unlicensed tradition healers services which has led to more deaths and risk of deadly infections. With a good road changes in income sources: non-agricultural income opportunities are enhanced, especially from wage-employment.

This Motivated the local community into finding a solution. Young men decided to take matters into their own hands and began rehabilitating the road by hand. Later on a local contractor took notice and decided to donate one of his plant equipment and operators to help. However more help is needed to continue and complete the road before the coming rains or else the road will be destroyed. We have set our target at 3000 USD.
