Simpson Travel raising funds in memory of Vicki Egriboyun

Our close colleague and friend, Vicki Egriboyun, Operations Manager of Southern Turkey for Simpson Travel, lost her fight against cancer in February 2023. She had been battling this terrible disease with grace, determination and humour since autumn 2021. Cancer affects so many lives, and many of you will be all too familiar with the devastating impact on family, friends and loved ones.

Vicki worked for Simpson Travel for 12 seasons and loved what she did, so much so that she carried on working throughout her treatment in her usual positive and pragmatic way. She had a huge passion for Turkey, especially Kalkan, and was a popular member of the team. Many of you who met Vicki will remember her well. She was keen on the local history, cycling and regularly found new walks in the area to which she shared with friends and guests. We will miss her more than our words here can ever express.

To celebrate Vicki’s courage, Bev Chadwick (Operations manager for Greece), Gaynor Roberts (Operations manager for the The Rou Estate and Bella Mare Hotel) and Eliana Cometo (concierge for Puglia) will attempt to conquer their fear of heights by embarking on an assisted parachute jump this coming September, and are looking for sponsors to encourage them to take that massive leap! Vickis husband and daughter have asked that the funds raised from your sponsorship go to a local charity in Turkey which supports children with leukaemia:
