Hello, I am Sid, pronouns they/he. I’m a 26yo trans masculine non-binary person from Mexico.

I have always experienced gender dysphoria, that means that I suffer from extreme distress due to the mismatch between the sex I was assigned at birth and my actual gender identity, in my case this includes body characteristics and it became way worse after puberty hit me, my breast is what makes me more uncomfortable of them all, it feels like having a foreign body in my chest, something that simply does not belong in there. It has also brought me a lot of posture problems and back pain since I'm always trying to hide it as much as possible.

Binding has stopped being a temporary solution because it gives me ribcage discomfort and pain, besides my chest never manages to look flat and at the end of the day what I actually want is to not have breasts at all, with or without clothes, so during the time I’m in my house not wearing it I still have to deal with the fact that I don’t even feel at home in my own body.

Finally after a couple years I have finally had my first appointment with a trustable surgeon in my country for top surgery. It filled me with excitement because for the first time in my life it feels like a real possibility and not only a distant dream. It's one of my biggest goals in life and will help me feel more comfortable and safer in my own body. I am a disabled/autistic person dealing with ptsd and currently I can only work part time which allows me to cover my basic expenses, contribute at home and pay for my therapy, I would also like to start testosterone soon so gathering the money on my own is kinda difficult, that's why I decided to create this fundraising with my best friend's help.

The surgery itself costs $2200-2700 usd ($45000 or $56000 mxn) depending on the hospitals’ availability, but I also need to travel to another city for the procedure which is around $200usd ($4000mxn) expenses included, $50usd ($1000mxn) for lab work, post-op care and other possible upcoming fees, so it sums a total of $3500 usd ($72000mxn) approximately, at the doctor's office they explained to me that this price will remain the same until december since it goes up every year, but they are very busy during that time of the year so I would like to get it by october or early november if possible .

If there’s any money left over after the surgery I will be donating this to other folks gathering funds for their gender affirming procedures.
