Campaign Story
Look at that sweet, poor little face…
It's Astreos (Astro), a street kitten that showed up at our home a few weeks ago. He was sick and dirty and lonely so we took him in. He was doing great. He loves climbing and scratching and chasing our other cats and finding new places on us to where he can fall asleep. We got him all his shots etc...
Unfortunately, now he has become very sick. He has Feline panleukopenia, which is fatal if untreated. He requires urgent medical care including hospitalisation and isolation.
On 2 July we were told that his condition was deteriorating and he needed to receive plasma.
3 July - he received the plasma infusion and his condition has stabilised. Still not eating.
8 July - Astro is still in hospital. We got news today that his blood test results are much improved from when he went in. He is still very weak and cannot eat by himself.
12 July - This morning we got the news that Astro died in the night.
.......
We saw that the doctors at the vet hospital did a great job. Unfortunately, he just didn't make it.
Still, we need to meet the medical bills and would appreciate your help.
The university vet clinic has told us that it will cost 5,740 shekels.
Israeli donors : You can also donate by calling the vet hospital directly and making a payment there. The number is +972 03 9688533. Donations for ASTREOS (אסטראוס) - patient number 140598
