Campaign Story
Padmasambhava Children Loving Association is a home for orphan children. It was officially founded on March 21st 2003 and was certified by the Malaysian government in 2005. The home is run and managed by a Buddhist monk and her family. They provide shelter, food, education, mind care, religion counselling, proper care and love for 60 children aged between two and twenty-three years old. Besides caring for these children, the home also provides support and help for poor single mothers. This home is constantly in need of charity and financial support for day to day activities and maintenance of the facilities.
The September 2017 School of Engineering (Corporate Social Responsibility) students of KDU University College are organising a charity event, ‘Shine Bright, Little Lives’, to help raise funds for this orphanage and also raise awareness for underprivileged children. This event will be held in KDU UC on 24th of November 2017. Tickets for the event will be sold at RM10.00 (USD2.36). Twenty-five children aged seven and up, will be brought to the campus where they will enjoy performances at the charity concert and they will perform a number as well.
To maximise our reach, an online fundraising campaign will be done in tandem with the event. 100% of the proceeds will be donated to Padmasambhava Children Loving Association. Any amount will go a long way for these little lives.
