Sexual Health Education Platform for Romania

I will start by saying hello, and thank you very much for reading and considering to donate to my cause.

I am a Romanian citizen, a mother, a wife and I am concerned about the future of my children, and the children of Romania.

My intention is to build an Wiki type of Website For Sexual Health Education. We are in desperate need of a platform where anyone from my country or even Romanians who are living abroad, can find all the information that one needs regarding Sexual Health Education.

Although there is some information about Sexual Health Education available on the internet in the Romanian language, there is no website that contains all the information a individual or family could benefit from. We do not teach this in our school system due to funding and or a lack of involvement. I want to help change this and raise awareness about this particular subject and the importance of it.

It is a vast and demanding project that will require time, effort, and resources, but I want to give it my best to help reduce the numbers of abortions, underaged parents, and maybe lower the numbers of sexually transmitted diseases, and I am hoping that thru your kindness we can make this happen.

-> It saddens me to say that Romania is the number 1 country in Europe and the European Union at abortion rates.

In Romania, during the years 1958-2018, over 22 million abortions were registered, according to a press release of the Associations "Students for Life" and "Romania for Life".

The statistics do not include "abortions performed in private clinics and medical abortions in state hospitals and private clinics because they are not reported, nor abortions performed by young and mature people working abroad, which is a significant part of the population of Romania ”.

->Another problem that my country has is underaged mothers.

Motherhood came prematurely and sometimes even unannounced for the tens of thousands of children who gave birth last year. 12,906 adolescents under the age of 19 already have their first child, 3,657 have had two children and 673 have three children each.

This is what the x-ray of the "children who give birth to children" phenomenon looks like. According to official statistics, out of 674 children born to mothers under the age of 15, only 79 have a father who is still a teenager (under the age of 20), and out of a total of 17,307 children born to mothers between the ages of 15 and 19, only 2,120 have a father under the age of 20.

Specifically, the lack of sex education leads to unwanted pregnancies among minors and, consequently, to school dropout. In addition, underage mothers and their children are not safe. Children born to underage mothers are both socially and medically vulnerable, in many cases talking about premature births or pregnancies that have not been medically monitored.

Help me change this, and be a part of saving thousands of lives.
