Secret homes for abused women and children

Our non-profit organization helping battered women and children.

We provide them with assistance. We help with legal services, social services, and more.

We provide victims with material as well as financial assistance.

We're trying to prevent.

In our practice we have found that the most important thing is new secret and safe accommodation. Because it is not in our option to buy flats. We appeal to the public for help. The collected money we used to buy apartments. Subsequent equipment of flats. So if the victim to contact us had a place where there may be live. Accommodation would be provided free of charge and for the time necessary for a new start.

These apartments would be secret. So that the rapist can not know where the victim lives.

Domestic violence was for many years considered to be a marginal problem in Slovakia and it was often belittled by the argument that it was a private matter which has to be solved by partners among themselves. According to the international survey from 24 countries, in which Slovakia also participated in years 2002/3, about 38% of women have experienced domestic violence during their lifetime. It talks about physical, psychic, sexual, economic or social violence. Injuries caused by the partner required medical treatment in more than a quarter of women. Out of these only 3% preferred charges against the violator but only 1% responded that these charges lead to court resolution.

To people currently without a shelter, Subitis Auxilium offers several possibilities of transitional accommodation – hostel, asylum house, training housing. These individual utilities differ in their spectrum of provided services and are adjusted to individual needs of users groups.

The assumption is that Subitis Auxilium will buy 10 apartments or homes.

These apartments or houses will be in a safe location.

Later I will be transformed and given free of charge to the victims.

We buy apartments in the heart of Europe, in Slovakia, in the districts of Snina, Humenné and Medzilaborce.

The implementation of the project is in 2018 and 2019.

In the following years, I will serve the victims of domestic violence.
