Fundraising for schools and conservation projects Zambia, Tanzania and Zanzibar

Hello!!

my names Bre and I've recently graduated high school and am about to embark on a 6 week volunteer trip through Zambia, Zanzibar and Tanzania in Africa. Something of which I've been passionate about and have always wanted to do ever since I was little. I plan on spending 2 weeks in each place, and will start in Livingstone Zambia. Here I will be doing 2 weeks of childcare, looking after children between the ages of 2-7, helping them learn English and developing essential formative skills, similar to the ones childcare workers in Australia teach, but only with very sparse resources. Then I will be spending 2 weeks in Zanzibar, an island off the coast of Tanzania, where I'll be participating in marine and coastal conservation work. here i'll help protect turtle nests, release baby turtles, assist qualified Marine biologists in coral reef monitoring, seaward farming, build aquaponics systems, beach clean ups and much more. Furthermore, my final two weeks will be spent in Arusha Tanzania, where I will be teaching predominately primary school aged children, assisting with homework and educating them in various subjects.

I have zero intention of changing or altering the African lifestyle and customs and cannot wait to learn and immerse myself in their unique culture. I strongly believe in the power of eduction and the freedom education gives a person to lead their life the way they want too. And with a still developing education system such as the places i'm planning on visiting, it makes it much harder for children to dream big and gain the necessary skills to live a life however they want too. Therefore restricting them from the freedom of choice and possibility of leading a life they want to lead. Something of which we tend to take for granted here in Australia.

Im travelling with international voulenteers HQ and am extremely excited to begin this journey. In order to embark on these three programs, a $500 donation outside of the accomodation +meals fee, must be made to each program ($1500 total). This money goes directly to the childcare's, conservation facilities and schools in Africa and helps with the upkeep and running of the facilities to educate future generations. As well as this, this donation will helplp boost the local economy, ensuring many locals jobs to keep a steady income for their families. I would appreciate it greatly if you guys could please donate anything (it really doesn't have to be much!!) to this cause. these programs can help build a better future for some of the most vulnerable, and i would love it if you would support the cause.
