SCHOOL BUS FOR SPECIAL NEEDS KIDS AT T.P.C.C, YAOUNDE

Every child deserves to be in school, but children who reside far away from school have limited chances belonging to schools and financial difficulties hinder parents from getting their kids to school and back home on regular basis.

After the schools shutdown in Cameroon due to the COVID-19 pandemic, most parents of special needs kids in Yaounde, Central Region of Cameroon won't be able to enroll/bring their kids to school.

I am Elizabeth N. Gohla, the Founder/CEO of Timely Performance Care Center (TPCC) , a private not-for-profit multi-purpose social ground with focus on rendering health care, social care and educational training with our mission to ensure that all children with disabilities and the elderly people are fully formed and restored through Healthcare, social care, rehabilitation, physical support and education so they can attain their full potential.

Being the only special needs center in Yaounde, Cameroon that enrolls every case of special needs kids be it dyslexia, autism, cerebral palsy etc. We often have parents who complain of the distance from their houses to the center, parents find it difficult to hire private vehicles for their kids or be able to keep up with bringing their kids to school every morning and getting them back home after school, these kids tend to remain home and hence have no education nor a sense of belonging to the community . Some parents end up withdrawing their kids from TPCC .
