Scholarship Aid for Christine

Hi everyone, my name is Christine. I am 16 years old, and a 10th grade student from the Philippines. I am a great believer of dreams coming true. When I was 4, I have dreamed to become a princess someday, wear a princess gown, and dance like a princess. It is like a fairy tale but somehow I am able to live these dreams. I am now a dancesport athlete , surprisingly dancing and able to wear gowns. Dreams do come true, so I am writing this today to knock on your kind hearts to help me live my biggest dream. As I am growing, I am able to see the real world and that made me create bigger dreams not only for myself but for my family. The dancing princess now wants to be a lawyer and a CEO of a big company one day. I am so dedicated and passionate in getting the best education to make it all possible. I love to learn, and explore the world of education. My educational journey is a bit tough but I would say is inspiring. I want to thank my very own family for their love and support. I started my nursery years at the age of 4, I'm so little back then but can clearly remember how I was able to manage walking far from home with my mom as we can't afford to ride a vehicle as my parents are saving to send my other siblings into universities. I wasn't able to complete my nursery schooling as we left our hometown in Batangas and moved to a city in Angeles to find better opportunities. In this city, we keep moving from one place to another as we don't have our own house, sometimes we have to leave coz we can't pay the rent or we have to move to somewhere nearer to my siblings workplace thus during my primary years, I keep moving from one school to another. It was difficult, and a big adjustment for me always. I even have to stop coming to school when I was in 3rd grade coz of financial issues. These challenges made me keep going. I managed to continue dancing and used my talent to continue my education. I would usually join dance contests, tv talent shows to save money for school. I finished my primary years in a public school but so glad to have ended it with Honors and recognitions. I ranked 2nd in class. High school years come next. It was always my dream to be in an International school that will give me a good quality of education and an opportunity to be globally competitive. But my family is poor, people want me to stop dreaming as they told me it's impossible. My family can't even bring me to a private high school, that's how tough our life is. But guess what Our Father Almighty gave me strength to keep believing and pursue my dreams. I used all my resources to find scholarships online. I prayed and he granted my heart desires. I found Noblesse International School. With my talent and academic records, I got accepted and was granted a scholarship. It is so amazing and I am so happy to be part of my NIS family. Now, I am happy to share that I am already in 10th grade, my fourth year with the school. With the school's generosity, I was able to cover my miscellaneous for the past years. I would sometimes do summer classes to teach dancing together with my sister to save money and pay my miscellaneous. This year, I have not paid my school miscellaneous fee completely yet. My parents are both seniors and no work. My siblings do have their own family to support now. I have tried all ways possible to save money by dancing and selling my own old clothes to settle my account but it is almost a thousand dollar and my fund is not even half.

I have created this go fund me to keep going. I will be working hard but a help from someone like you will be a blessing for me. I do promise to give back one day. Inspire more kids to appreciate education and keep them moving forward in making their dreams come true.

I am hopefully aiming to get funds to settle my current miscellaneous account, and get some help within the next 2 years, my senior high. I will be taking IB classes, in preparation for college. I still have my scholarship but hopefully would be able to raise funds too for my miscellaneous fees.

I am so grateful for all the opportunities that my family and NIS has provided me that allowed me to be able to get to this place in my life. I developed a strong work ethic that helped to put myself through all the challenges in my education. I am finally starting to achieve my goal and my dreams are about to come true. It is difficult for me to admit that I need help coz others might be thinking that I am ambitious. I want to keep the courage and believe that nothing is impossible. I am in this journey for a reason, for a good reason. Please be with me and support my dreams, I do thank you for your donation with a most humble and grateful heart.
