Saving Baby Jayla

Amidst the Covid-19 pandemic and chaos, Baby Jayla Sofia Villanueva Gabriel was born on May 28, 2020.

At only 32 weeks and 2 days gestation, she was prematurely delivered at VT Maternity Hospital in Marikina City at 6:49 AM. She was born weighing only 2kg and 44cm long -- which is considered to be a low-birth-weight. Apart from this, her lungs is still underdeveloped which puts our baby in a very delicate situation.

Hoping that there will be no further complications while our baby is in the hands of the Cornel Medical Center's NICU team, she will need to stay under the support of an incubator for at least two (2) more weeks or until she is ready and stable enough to join us in our home.

We are grateful for the doctors and the medical team looking after our baby Jayla. As they continuously give proper medical attention to our daughter's needs for growth, and development, we know that this would take a huge help with regards to our financial capacity. Based on our current/running bill, our total projected costs would amount to at least Php 504,000 this total is computed with at least PhP36,000.00/day multiplied to at least two (2)weeks
