Our little warrior Jasian Casey Galit Concepcion (born on April 24, 2018) is fighting against Pertussis Pneumonia. Two weeks after she was born, she was rushed to a primary hospital due to unusual cough which makes her hard to breathe. At first, it was advised to be a normal cough; she was discharged and prescribed with some antibiotics. Despite the antibiotics, her coughing got more serious that she turns to purplish black. She was rushed back to the primary hospital and was initially diagnosed with Pertussis that later developed to Pertussis Pneumonia.

Pertussis, also known as whooping cough, often makes the patient hard to breathe; to make it worse, babies who suffer form this, may stop breathing temporarily. The best way to prevent Pertussis is thru vaccination. However, the baby already got sick even before she gets the vaccine. Treatment is long and costly, it can take about 3 months or so.

She was transferred from one hospital to another trying to look for better medical assistance. As of the moment, they are at the 4th hospital - ward section where baby Casey is being given the intensive care that she needs. Their total bill rocketed to PHP 300,000.00 within just a week while the baby needs to be in the ICU for at least 30 days.

She lost her first life while she was confined in the 2nd hospital where they lack facilites. She was gone for 70 seconds. The doctors already told her mother that she is gone but little Casey did not give up. She was revived!

Now on her continues battle against Pertussis Pneumonia, we are asking for any assistance from you. More importantly, please include her in your prayers!
