I am a zoology student studying currently at Massey University in New Zealand, and i will be using my degree towards saving animals, particularly the African Elephant. There are estimated to only be 470,000 - 640,000 elephants left in the wild, and they are being constantly hunted for their tusks, or just for being in the wrong place at the wrong time. My goal is to take these elephants away from volatile areas, and put them into wildlife sanctuaries where they will be safe from hunters. My biggest problem that i face, is funding. In order to save these beautiful animals, i need to raise at least $10,000 for a plane ticket, accommodation, and food. Once i am there, i will be dedicating my entire time to finding elephants that need to be moved away from where they are. A donation will go miles towards helping me on my quest to save this species from extinction, and will mean that you are helping as well, so please give generously as these animals do not have many people fighting for them.
