Save our beloved friends!

Hello animal lovers,

My name is Oana and here are our dear friends Coco, Mark, Puff, Cindy, Nero, Lord, Kiki, Max, Toby, Lady and the list goes on. J

Also, you should meet my grandmother, Luciana.

The story begins with me being a little girl who would spend all her summer holidays at my grandmother Luciana who lives in the countryside. As far as I can remember my grandmother rescues and takes care of stray dogs. Every summer when I arrived to her house, my friends from last year where there to greet me and new friends also because as my grandmother says “I can’t leave the poor soul in the streets all by himself, if I find a homeless dog on my way home I took him with me”. Today she takes care of more than 20 dogs and puppies.

My summer holidays were like a fairytale, I would play all day with my friends with tails, run around, play fetch, tell them stories, pretend they can understand and talk with me. As expected my grandmother taught me to love all animals and take care of them when no one else would.

As the years passed she took great care of all the puppies and dogs, providing them shelter and food even if she didn’t have much money.

But unfortunately, the story won’t have a happy ending unless we can give it one.

Last year my grandfather died and my grandmother is alone now, with only her basic retirement rights which is very few money to take care of herself and her friends also. She did all she could to provide food and shelter for the dogs but the time passed and she can’t make ends meet.

Her biggest fear is that she won’t be able to provide enough food for them or shelter and she will need to set them free. That thought terrifies her, as you may know in Romania all stray dogs that are in a public shelter and that are not adopted within 14 days are killed.

Her dogs mean the world to her and I can’t stand and watch her cry everyday.

That is why I am here, to reach out to all the dog and pet lovers all around the world to help us take care of your friends and give them the happy ending they so much deserve.

The shelters my grandfather built are now damaged by the weather so we need to repair them. Also we need to build new ones as my grandmother takes care of more dogs now. Any little donation will help us provide them food and proper shelter for years to come.

Being able to take care of them for the rest of her life would mean the world to my grandmother Luciana. I hope that with your help she will be able to continue her mission and take care of more dogs in the future. She has enough space on her land to build more shelter for homeless dogs and I know that if we will help her lots of homeless dogs will live a long, happy life surrounded by unconditional love. YOU CAN GIVE THEM A SECOND CHANCE!
