-2018/9/3, Minori is now out of hospital but will be on medication with frequent check ups to monitor her condition. The latest results point strongly towards her condition being what is known as "antiphospholoid syndrome", where white blood cells attack healthy proteins. Because of this condition there is still a high risk of blood clots developing.

A more conclusive answer regarding her condition will be known in aprx 2 months time, when specific indicators will be measured.

-2018/8/5, MRI revealed bacteria spread to parts of brain. Bacterial meningitis determimed to be associated with Strongyloidiasis.

Current treatment having effect on bacteria. Minimum of 2 weeks continued treatment expected.

During the middle of July this year, I suddenly started experiencing severe pain across my left arm. I was sent to hospital urgently last month and have been receiving intensive treatment ever since.

Over the past week, I've been experiencing a range of symptoms including, blood clots, mystery bruising, internal bleeding...The doctors here are saying that the symptoms are very similar to Behçet's disease but this is not 100% certain yet, then determied as ”Meningitis”.

The doctors are working hard to find the cause but this means numerous painful tests including spinal fluid sampling which leaves me in extreme pain for the rest of the day. According to the doctors, the next 2 weeks for me are critical and my life hangs in the balance.

Unfortunately this also means all the medical bills are building up. Since I've only just come to Japan, money is a serious problem.

I have no family that I can depend on. All I have is you, my dear friends. I don't normally like to ask for money but in this case, I am seriously out of options. I have nowhere else I can turn.

Even if it is a dollar, every bit counts I swear to god that I will make it out of this and when I do, I will make you all the best damn guacamole in the world.

私の病気は『髄膜炎』です。

私は2018年7月中旬頃に左腕に激しい痛みを覚え、救急病院にかかりました。 以来、本当に沢山のお医者様が原因を見つけるために懸命に働いてくださっていますが、これは脊髄液採取を含む数多くの痛みを伴う検査が行われることも意味していました。血栓、原因の不明な内出血など…私の身体はさまざまな症状を発症しており、ベーチェット病の症状に大変似ているとことでしたが、検査の結果『髄膜炎』との診断を受けました。そして、いまからの2週間が私の生命にとってとても大切な時期であるとの説明も受けました。

私は当初、検査すら受けることを拒否していました。なぜなら、私は数十年ぶりに日本に帰って来てからまだ2ヶ月あまり、仕事はまだ手探りで、頼れる家族も無く、避けがたい理由から家も失ったばかりで、検査費用や入院費用、そして治療費用を支払える状況ではなかったからです。

しかしながら、私の友人や同僚達から検査を受けるよう強く勧められました。そして検査入院が進むに連れ、私の容体は一刻の猶予も許されない状況であることを知りました。病名を見ての通り、この2週間を乗り越えても、今後私は長い治療が必要となるようです。

どうかあなた様の御心遣いを、少しでも私に分けていただけないでしょうか？そして一人でも多くのお友達に、いま救いを必要としている命が東京にあることをお伝えいただけましたら望外の喜びです。
