TERESA MONTES -- PLEASE HELP THIS WONDERFUL TEACHER -- A VICTIM OF HEART DISEASE
Teresa Montes teaches at Ilaya Barangka Integrated School in Mandaluyong City, where she is so well-loved, the children call her ‘Mama Tess’. Teresa is 63 years old and has taught many young people to read, write and speak English, an important asset for gaining a well-paid position after leaving school.
She has also given much of her spare time to being a Girl Scout Leader, leading her young scouts on exciting adventures across the Philippines and teaching them survival skills and co-operation.
Teresa was rushed to hospital on 27 Jan 2020 with heart problems and now she needs 5 stents in the arteries around her heart (stents are artificial meshed tubes which keep the arteries open). The total cost for these procedures will be in the region of P1000,000 (one million pesos) -- an incredible amount, impossible for her family and friends to raise.
With the stents, she has a chance of a normal life again and she can go on to teach many more bright young children. Without them, her outlook is bleak, she may die within months.
The gift of life is so precious! Please help Teresa now, give her this greatest of all gifts! Please donate whatever you can. Any amount would be appreciated.
Thank you for your generosity and compassion -- may God bless you!
