Save Kodak’s life – emergency vet treatment

Three days ago, my partner David, I, and our beloved cat Kodak embarked on a journey from Prague to Berlin, in search of new beginnings. However, this transition has brought unexpected challenges for our furry family member, Kodak. Over the past month, Kodak's health has taken a distressing turn. He ceased eating and began vomiting, a particularly alarming situation as he relies on cardiac medication. We promptly sought help at a veterinary clinic in Prague, where we were reassured that Kodak's condition was solely due to stress.

With hopeful hearts, we continued our journey to our new home in Berlin. Yet, yesterday, our world came crashing down as Kodak not only stopped drinking water but also collapsed. Fearing for his life, we rushed him to an emergency vet, where a grim diagnosis emerged - his kidneys were failing, and he was severely dehydrated. Till Thursday, he has to be on antibiotics and intravenous fluid transfusion, a treatment that costs approximately 275 euros each day. Without this vital therapy, Kodak's survival is at stake.

Regrettably, the extensive costs associated with our move have left us financially drained. Today, we find ourselves in an unprecedented situation, humbly seeking any financial contribution towards Kodak's critical treatment. Every euro contributed brings us one step closer to saving the life of our extraordinary companion, Kodak. We never imagined we'd be in this position, reaching out for support, but Kodak is not just a pet; he's an inseparable part of our family and a dear friend.
