Save innocent elephants in Thailand from starvation

NGO団体の一つであるElephant nature park は象のシェルターで様々な理由で傷ついた象の保護をし、生活全般のケアをしています。

COVID-19により被害を受けているのは人間だけではありません。コロナ禍の被害を受けている動物たちの中で、特に深刻なのはタイに住む象です。彼らが直面している問題は食糧です。

象は一頭一日に約270キロ（¥3300）の食材を必要とします。※タイ全土で約2500頭（野生を除く）

しかし、今タイはロックダウン中で、パークの収益も得られず、象は危機的な食糧不足に陥っています。

早急な救済が必要な状態です。どうか彼らに救済の手を差し伸べて下さい。

The current Covid-19 pandemic has impacted on countless businesses and lives.

For the Elephants of Thailand, this has meant the closure of all the Elephant Sanctuaries and rides they previously had to endure as part of the tourist trade.

Since the middle of March 2020 tourism left the islands of Thailand and any income that was feeding the elephants has come to an extreme end; unfortunately no provision was made for these beautiful animals.

We now have an urgent need to feed a number of Elephants for as long as it takes for them to be moved to other locations where they can be let back into the wild or until this current pandemic can be managed.

These hungry Elephants usually eat up to 200 to 600 pounds of Pineapple trees daily. Currently, they have less than 200 pounds per day, and supplies are running out. We urgently need shipments in order to help or otherwise we will be witnessing a devastating picture of innocent animals suffering starvation.
