Save a Life! Help Baby Sophia to Survive

My dear brothers and sisters, I AM CIRILO CABESAS. My most fervent heart is knocking your humane sympathy in this grievous moment of our family. My 20-year old sister, Cherica Cabesas died last December 5, 2016. She is supposed to graduate in college this coming March. I have supported her study since then. I couldn’t imagine how time runs so fast. My family and I are really saddened of her death. For 8 months, she opted not to tell us about her pregnancy which eventually led to her early passing.

To narrate what had happened prior to her death, it was early in the morning, I asked my sister why she was not preparing herself for it’s time to go to the office for her OJT. She said that she was not feeling well and her stomach was in pain. I could feel that she’s hiding some pain inside. I asked and offered her the idea of going to the hospital for a check-up and she affirmed. I went to the comfort room for a quick bath, but I was not able to finish for she was shouting so bad. When I went out, she, then, collapsed and lost her consciousness. Nobody was around since our parents are staying in the province, and we are just renting a boarding house in Banilad. I cried for help, so, the people nearby rescued and helped us call for an ambulance. We brought her to Cebu Doctor’s Hospital. The doctors were trying to save and revive her life, on the contrary, it was declared dead on arrival. If not because of the death of my sister, I wouldn’t know and inform that she was eight-month pregnant. When the doctor sensed that the baby has shown sort of life inside the womb of my sister, a surgery was undergone to get the baby inside.

I am in a situation where I feel like nowhere to go, but I don’t like to give up for the baby. The baby is still under ICU and also in coma for more than a week now. Besides, it’s sad to note that nobody could tell us who and where the father of the baby is right now, even the closest friend of my sister couldn’t. According to the hospital, our estimated bill is almost two hundred thousand pesos now (P200,000). In this connection, I am compassionately asking your benevolent heart for a donation of any amount to partly commensurate our hospital bill.

It’s pretty hard to carry this cross, but my family has to. Please also help us storm heaven with our prayers for the fast recovery of the baby. Your small amount of donation and your prayers mean a lot to us.
