What is the Philippine SARANGGOLA Library project?
Like a kite, the SARANGGOLA Library project is driven by the winds of hope. It is a partnership among Filipino children’s books publishers. A gift giving project to benefit educators of young children and beginner readers, it aims to bring children's books to ten (10) beneficiaries from any of the regions with the lowest functional literacy rate in the Philippines. Admittedly, a drop in the ocean to build functional literacy waves for BARMM, Regions 12, 8, 5 and MIMAROPA day care centers, but with your support, we hope this drop will create ever widening ripples.
The funds raised from this campaign will fund the shipment costs of the books to the selected beneficiaries, and will allow the project organizers to buy more children's books at very discounted rates from various indie publishers of children's books.
