Sanggor Seni

Sanggor Seni, the first of its kind to be organized in Johor Bahru MALAYSIA, is an expression platform incorporating arts, culture and heritage in producing new creative works, organized by enthuasiasts individuals in efforts of preserving the heritage. Taking into account its objective, Sanggor Seni fusion its concept with combo of Batik/Pelikat with fun pop colours. Sanggor Seni has launched its first event, diy style, in VTSpace JB on Aug 30, 2018, with performances by 9 singer/songwriter/poet, martial art and orchestra, screening of 3 shorts, exhibition by 3 photographers and art & cultural products booth by the local collectives. Considering it was organized based on just trust and passion, the first Sanggor Seni was well enjoyed and well reviewed by all guests. Sanggor Seni succeeded in achieving its objective to instill the cultural heritage values into the contemporary creations.

Sanggor Seni will continue its mission and vision by organizing roadshows of Sanggor Seni to protect our culture and heritage from getting lost in time.
