APPEAL TO SAFE A FAMILY OF A PREGNANT WOMAN AND HER CHILDREN LIVING INSIDE A TREE .

A woman in Voi county has been forced to live inside a hollow tree after she was abandoned by the father of her two children.

In photos that have gone viral on social media, the visibly weary woman with her two kids was captured standing beside a huge log in an open farm at Kirutai village.One side of the ageing tree lying horizontally on a ploughed piece of land was covered with a flowery leso to protect her and the young family from the cold weather at night and wild animals that may easily find their way to her 'home' from the game reserve nearby.The Voi woman outside a hollow tree where she lives with her two kids.

Life in the wilderness.

Nothing of opulence surrounds her deserted and dusty 'home', only a hoe and one chicken hovering around to pick the invisible leftovers could be seen.The innocent kids, one standing right in front of her mother and the other one seated on a small log shaped like a short stool, could be seen starring in the space like they were lost.They looked overwhelmed by the hardships and spending long hours in the 'wilderness' with little or nothing to feed on during the day.The family looked worried too, knowing that when darkness comes, they will have to assemble inside a hollowed hiding and rest on logs softened by tattered and worn out pieces of thin mattresses.The place is lonely, no neighbouring house or home could be spotted around despite the lenses of the camera casting their beams far and wide.It's literally a jungle.

I appeal to well-wishers who got a glimpse of the disheartening images to step in and help the young mother whose images also showed she could be pregnant with possibly a third child.As individuals starting with me,we can do something however little it can be but change the life of this woman and her children.Any assistance from food, clothes, medicine, essentials or financial assistance and we will plan the logistics to ensure every Penny and donations get to her.

Many raised fundamental questions about the whereabouts of her husband and the father of the crestfallen minors but for now let us assist the woman and her children.
