Ruxy’s Operation

Ruxy is a year old boy who didn't have the best of starts in life. He was first kept in isolation, then straight at a very busy place, and it took a while for him to make sense of things.

When he was just a few months of age he was hit by a car, and that's how he got into my house and heart - he needed intensive looking-after. So he's stayed with me since last summer. Now, he participates in pretty much everything I do, and is a very happy, active, sweet boy.

Unfortunately, his troubles haven't ended yet: he's diagnosed with quite a bad elbow displasia (inherited condition) on his front left leg. He needs to be operated ASAP - if not, his already wasted muscle would not support him soon enough, which would lead to a loss of the leg.

The operation is planned on Monday, and his vet (Onlyvets in Peyia) couldn't have been more accomodating for us.

I would appreciate any help at all. He will need a longish time of movement-restricted recovery, which means some upheaval to our plans; but that's life.
