Parung Cat House is a cat shelter located in Parung, Bogor, West Java, Indonesia. The Parung Cat House was founded in 2014 by Mrs. Dita Agusta and her husband, who was initially intended only as a place to live with their 30 cats.
Mrs. Dita created the Parung Cat House as a place to live for abandoned cats. Initially, this cat house was built on an area of 644 square meters, 144 meters for a private house and 500 meters for a cat house. Then Mrs. Dita felt she had to care more about abandoned cats who needed a safe home. So currently, the Parung cat house area has expanded with an additional 200 square meters of land area.
Until now, the Parung Cat House has continued to grow until now. Now the number of cats here is around 800 and they are dominated by domestic or village cats. Both adult cats and kittens.
Every day we always get various reports of abandoned cats. The cats here require enormous maintenance and operational costs every day. Especially the need for food, cat litter, vitamins and medicine for sick cats. If there is a cat that needs more care, we will take it to the clinic. We also have to pay employee salaries and so on.
The number of cats tends to continue to increase, even though there are cats being adopted. Mrs. Dita also continues to help cats that need help, such as cats that are disabled, run over, or cats that have been abused.
We really hope for a lot of help for the cats here. So that they can live a better and more decent life. We also hope that friends can help spread information to other friends so that this cat house can continue to operate. Thank You
- Dita Prisianti
