As Lemony Snicket wisely wrote "“At times the world may seem an unfriendly and sinister place, but believe that there is much more good in it than bad. All you have to do is look hard enough. and what might seem to be a series of unfortunate events may in fact be the first steps of a journey.”

Losing yourself is a waking up point in ones life. It is when you reach the bottom and have no other option than starting the moral and spiritual ascendance. If the circumstances are favourable you might even get to have by your side the company of beloved ones. If not, still you get to have You and move stronger than before to the same destination. Upwards.

This year has had a harsh start and a great impact on my life and my being overall. Which was why I had decided to go after a cleansing journey, to aid me reinvent myself, set new goals and start fresh.

When I was arranging my pilgrimage it was also the moment when Covid tagged along and set me back, as I believe has done for billions of people across the world.

Camino de Santiago has been a personal life dream for over a decade. Having completed previously a small part of this pilgrimage and being familiar with the route, its challenges and its gains it seemed just the right path for me.

Back in 2013 I went on the Northern Route - Camino del Norte - from Hendaya all the way to Bilbao. Since then It never seemed to be the right time to resume properly the Camino de Santiago due to work commitments and budget restrictions. First restriction has been lifted due to the suspension of my contract until the end of this year, resulting from Covid outbreak. Now, concerning the budget it still remains a set back.

I have held dearly in my heart the dream of it and now it is the time to seize the opportunity.

I subscribed here, wishing to fund my goal and fulfil multiple personal goals. If you wish to help me I would be eternally grateful. I wish you joy and blossom!!

More Information concerning the trip:

I wish to start the route from Montpellier France and finish the route at Santiago de Compostella in Spain, with over 60 stops in between:

1) Montpellier to Logroño - Arles Way and when entering Spain I will take the French Way until Logroño

2) Logrono to Bilbao by bus

3) Bilbao to Santiago de Compostella - North Way

This journey will take over two months to complete, living in the countryside and in local albergues. Average daily budget is 40€, that sets the aim of this fundraiser up to 2,400€. Adding to this amount ticket expenses and additional unsuspected expenses, I wish to fund raise around 3,300€.

Thank you!!
