Hi, Dear Reader.

We've created a fundraiser for my youngest brother, Ronnel Villaseñor, 25 years old, that has been struggling with kidney failure. Ronnel was a former Basketball Varsity player at Malayan Science High school and later played as well for NCAA, at Mapua Institute of Technology, with a course of Construction Engineering (2014-2016) before he shifted to Sports Science.

Ronnel was first diagnosed with Chronic Kidney Disease Stage 3 Secondary to IgA Nephropathy way back 2017 (based on his elevated creatinine and biopsy results). Since then, his case was advised to take steriods for several months until July 2018. August 2018, he also suddenly suffered from Pneumonia. His medication on steroids was stopped at a time where his doctors is seeing creatinine levels is doing fine. After a few months, just recently last quarter of 2020, his creatinine has shoot up again, even when on steroids, just won’t normalized, thus, we were advised to go on dialysis treatment already.

Beginning of 2020, his condition has very much deteriorated and is now on Stage 5 Chronic Kidney Disease secondary to IgA Nephropathy. The treatment plan will be 3x dialysis per week, which costs us around 15,000/session, which is roughly Php45,000 a week, excluding all other medications he needs to take daily.

On top of that, September 2018, our Mother was rushed to the Lung Center also due to pneumonia, and hospitalized since then. And October on same year, our mom passed away. Ronnel wasn’t even able to see our mom nor come near her because of his condition as well. Certainly, it has been a difficult time for the family mourning our Mother’s passing and trying to be strong for our brother too. Medical expenses for both my brother and Mom have piled up. Our father used to be a Grab driver, but stopped because he is already a Senior and was affected as well by the Pandemic (Covid-19).

We are asking for your help to give Ronnel an opportunity to life and dribble again. Ronnel and our family will be grateful to fight this battle with your help. All proceeds for this campaign will go towards the procedure, medications and transportation so our family can sustain the growing medical expenses for my brother’s treatment.

Your prayers are also very much appreciated too. Thank you very much for taking time to read.
