Campaign Story
As genuine animal welfare caregivers will tell you and me, the strays population is completely out of control. I spent more than 2 years pleading for change just in the area I live in, and that fallen on deaf ears. Elected representatives are more interested in other matters and animal welfare is like a joke for them. I say joke bcos none of them responded to me seriously. Or no response at all.
Currently, I am sending the stray cats to Bandar Puteri Vet which is known as BPVC in abbreviation. So far for this year, there was a stray male cat sent in for neutering but he has a flu. Sad to say on further checking which involves a blood test confirms he is FIV positive. I named him Rambo. He needs to be a fighter to stay alive. His bill was unexpected and took a chunk from the small budget .. fast forward, he has been sent to a cat sanctuary whose founders dedicate themselves to caring for cats with non-curable disease/illness. That will be a minimum charge of RM200 per month for Rambo's stay and such sudden expenses along the way can add strain to finances.

Mrs Bean
Update posted by Wong Yat Wai at 08:19 amI rescued Mrs Bean a few years' ago. Admitted her to a cat sanctuary who provides palliative care as well. Mrs Bean was diagnosed FIV positive and required special care. Heart so heavy as the sanctuary informed me recently of her current health and how she is likely going to. . . . .
