Retired Fire Fighter, Now Fighting His Biggest Battle

Tatay Felimon Engua or JR to his peers dedicated more than half of his life with the Bureau of Fire and Protection. For all these years, he fought the battle with fire, saving thousands of homes, properties and lives. When he retired, he spent his time with our family, grandchildren and hobbies. Early March of 2020, he started complaining about the lingering pain on his lower back. He consulted doctors and found out he has pneumonia. It so happened that our country was on quarantine so he was quickly considered a Person Under Investigation and was admitted in the hospital for more than two weeks. Brave as he is, he was confined alone without any relatives to comfort him. But the bigger battle began when he was diagnosed with STAGE 4 LUNG CANCER. He is currently in the ICU for treatment and management for more than a week now. He is intubated and connected to connected to a ventilator to help him breathe more easily. He has undergone series of blood transfusion that cost a lot. Our family needs to sustain his medical needs as one complication to another is starting to show. Our Tatay is now in pain and he needs our help. He wants to keep on fighting, and he needs our support. As of today, the hospital bills have piled up close to a million pesos already.
