Casper's journey with us has been nothing short of miraculous. Your generous donation of 10-20€ will play a vital role in the life changing process he is going through. Please swipe the pictures to understand better his suffer, how much he fights, inspiring us to be committed to restore his faith. Casper is by far the most loving and grateful cat we have ever encountered. Despite losing one of his legs, his desire to live is heartbreakingly strong. With the help of God, he was able to survive three difficult surgeries, and we couldn't be more appreciative if you could support.

We first met Casper a male cat, on August 4th, 2023 in Tirana, when he was brought to us after being hit by a car, many people had seen him suffering for days in the neighborhood, heard his call for help, and did nothing. We accepted to take the case. He was bleeding from his mouth, crying, and struggling to walk and eat. Unfortunately, we were unable to save his leg as the nerves were too damaged. He has 3 legs now. He underwent surgery to remove broken teeth and fix his broken mandibula. However, three months later, his foster noticed that his mouth was stuck and he couldn't open it, making it impossible for him to eat properly. He was always dirty because he couldn't clean himself after putting his mouth in his food.

Our local Albanian vets didn't have the necessary equipment or experience to operate on his jaw, so we reached out to a clinic in Thessaloniki, Greece. The initial estimated cost was around 1000€, not a small amount for us, but we took the risk because we wanted Casper to have a better life. We organized and paid for his 400km journey to the clinic. We couldn't bear to see him in such a miserable condition, especially when his eyes were pleading for help.

Casper underwent all necessary tests and scans, and was taken care of and loved by the staff in these 2 months. Two university professors and an orthopedic surgeon performed the operation on him. He’s still in rehab. Just yesterday, we received the vet clinic invoice, which came to a total of 1635€, not including the cost of his transportation to and from Greece. The total amount reached 2000€, which is beyond our means.

We are Dandi Animal Rescue Mission, a registered NGO non-profit organization that relies solely on donations from individuals to help animals in Albania. We receive no support from the government or other NGOs. We humbly ask you to join our mission and help poor little Casper. Please share his story and spread awareness. Together, we can make a difference in his life. Thank you for your kind support.
