Campaign Story
The house was heavily damaged by Typhoon Vinta on December 22, 2017.
My 86 year old widowed aunt, 6 year old great nephew and myself lived in the house before Typhoon Vinta came in December.
The house will have to have wall coverings replaced, possibly wood frame walls replaced to remove the mold that is growing there now, wood doors are warping and the ceiling shows damage from the flooding that occurred and then there is the all the mud inside the house that the flooding left behind.
This is just lists part of the damage, there were some windows broken that will require repair or replacement.
This is the 2nd time to be hit by typhoon, first was Typhoon Sendong (Dec 2011) and now Typhoon Vinta(December 2017).
Presently my aunt is temporarily staying another niece but, she always ask me everyday how soon can she come back home, my great nephew also asks when he too can come home.
The other day when i visited our house, it was very lonely and dirty.
I've already spent a lot of time and money cleaning the mud out of the house.
Most all of our personal belongings, appliances, furniture, beds, television and more were damaged, many beyond repair.
I've had to replace most all of our clothes that were stained to badly from the mud and water.
It is true that there is no place like home.
Me, i miss our house.
With your donations to make the repairs to the house, fix what can be fixed of the furniture and replace the appliances that were destroyed, we'll be back in our happy home.
Thank you one and all for your generous donations, I really appreciate you all.
