Rent, Food & Clothing for the Ahmed Family in Gaza

The Ahmed family live in war torn Gaza. the Ahmeds & their children aged 9, 8 and 5 can not plan for any type of future and struggle to fulfill basic human needs such as rent, clothing & food. (First pictures listed are the Ahmed Family). Eman is currently 6 mths pregnant & they do not have enough money for the basic living. Often, they do without.They often have to live on bread to survive. Like all human beings, the Ahmeds dream of living a life of dignity with their family without fear and constantly struggling just to survive another day. Here is their story in their own words:

Hello Friends, My name is Eman and I am from Palestine, where I live in Gaza with my husband & our 3 children. The situation here in Gaza is terrifying - bombs fall on us and many other restrictions do not work in the city.

There are no jobs for me or for my husband and children who suffer the consequences. We direct this application for assistance in purchasing food and medicine. Although this is a war zone, we still have to pay the rent for a house. However, we know that we are more fortunate than other that the Israeli army bombed their homes and killed their children -even women and the elderly. We simply want to live in dignity like other families, so please, please - don't ignore my story. Any donation will help us and make our lives possible.

The mainstream media provides a very little information on what is occurring in Gaza. Many people are under the false impression that to be Pro Palestinian rights is to be anti Jewish. This is far from the case and I can affirm that I don’t hold hatred in my heart for any racial group. I am, however, a big proponent of fundamental human rights. What is occurring in Palestine is not right and constitutes war crimes. Any ethical war does not commit violence towards children, women and elderly citizens.

There is a long and checkered history of the current situation. I realize, as many do, that it is a very complicated situation that has been going on for years. We hope that one day, the Israeli and Palestinian people can all learn to learn together in peace.

I’m starting a blog to share the stories of these women’s lives and invite you to join me as we listen to what they endure on a day-to-day basis. I will update you on progress on this. Thank you for your support for this burgeoning project.
