I will shortly present to you my mother's life story especially from the past 10 years, so that you can understand why I need your help to renovate her humble apartment. She was born in 1954 and from the seventy's until 2008 when she retired, my mother worked in a tailoring factory at a sewing machine with a timetable of work between 6 a.m. to 4 p.m. from monday to saturday. Her monthly amount varied from 140 $ to180 $. After my father died in january 2005 our family income was deeply afected as my mother and I could no longer benefit of my dad's pension of disease of 210 $ and the only money that we got were those 140-180$ salary/month. That was the moment when I left home trying to move on at the age of 19. As the years passed and my mom got retired with a pension of 160$/month is not difficult to understand why she couldn't afford to modernize her apartment. In all this period of time I succeded to renew her bathroom (in 2007) and the hallway. But unfortunately that was all I could do. It's dificult for me to see how the magic space from my childhood is falling into pieces without a financial suport that I still couldn't have achieved. All I want to do is to renovate my mother's 50 square meters apartment so that she can live her old age with dignity after a life of work and badluck. I must apologize for the quality of the photos but they were made without my mother's knowledge , because she would never accept to do something good for her and not for myself. The following pictures are from the bedroom where you can see the wallpaper from 1992. It was preety then, but now is broken and from place to place it has mold on it. All the furniture in the bedroom is from the 80's: the bed, the chairs, the wardrobe. The duct tape that you see on the walls appeared one month ago, when one of the neighbour started to use a wood burning stove to keep himself warm and all the smoke entered in my mother's bedroom. That's when she got scared and without knowing what to do she started to put the duct tape on the wall thinking that somehow she'll stop the smoke. I think it solved 15% of the problem:)). As you can notice my mother's bed is very old and it was repaired by herself many times but I think it's hopeless. Her wardrobe is also broken and the clothes are falling out from the rear side. She tried to repair different problems that inevitably occured, but how many times can you rapair something so old and so broken? None of the doors are closing properly, they should be changed. The parquet from the bedroom and the living room is the same as it was since the building was built. The kitchen sink has been here forever; since 1981. I know, it's terrifying, but what can I say? Life is a little bit hard when you earn 160$/month from which you must eat, buy medicine and pay the utilities. How could you dare thinking about renovation? All I wanna do is make my mother's hidden wish come true and bring a sunshine in her life as a "thank you" for every sacrifice that she has done over her life. She has always put herself on the last place, the others always came first. I'll renovate the apartment my self and my husband, we'll not hire anyone, because we know how precious every penny is, and all that I can promise to all of those who will make this dream come true is that your money will not be use for anything else, I'll send photos from every stage of the process and the final result ; and if you'll ever come to visit Romania you will be wellcome to our house. Thank you in advance.  P.S. : I can provide via email any other picture demonstrating my words, including my mother's monthly pension cupon etc. Thank you again.
