Last January 5th of 2019 Saturday night around 11PM, the residential area of Mauban Street in Barangay Manresa of Quezon City, Philippines was devastated with a fire incident that affected an estimate of 600 families. The incident rendered more than 1,600 individuals and left 5 people injured (4 residents and 1 volunteer). According to the residents, faulty wiring was seen as the likely cause of the fire. Houses were made of light materials and strong winds drew difficulty in putting out the blaze.
With more than 300 houses burnt down, the homeless residents thankfully, as of now, are safe and currently situated at Barangay Manresa Covered Court, but are in need of immediate relief. A simple generosity will be so much helpful. The donation will also be used buy food packs, hygiene kits and clothes. We would like to contribute to the generous efforts that are already being made in order to provide relief to these families of Barangay Manresa.
It is unfortunate that these families have experienced such incident after the heights of the holidays of Christmas and New Year. As someone who has seen the energy of the people living in this area, it it is with a heavy heart to see their current circumstance at hand with nothing at all. Other than any amount of donation, we also hope for your prayers to the victims of this incident.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
