Releasing My Brother’s Trapped Lung

This case is rare. My brother, Jomar, got what is called a pleural

tuberculosis. This complication builds up fluid in the lungs a lot more
than normal, causing the lung to drown. My brother's left lung contracts
and it cannot breathe normally. He experiences other side effects too like
recurring fever and joint pains.

My brother needs a thoracic surgery for pleural decortication.

For those interested to know the details of the procedure, this is what was
provided to us:
Video-assisted thoracic surgery (VATS) is a type of minimally invasive
thoracic surgery that can remove parts of the diseased lung and lymph
nodes. In video-assisted thoracoscopic surgery (VATS), a small tube called
a thoracoscope is inserted through a small cut (incision) between the ribs.

This is the physical cleaning of the lung.

My brother's operation is planned to be conducted on February 15, 2022.
Originally, the cost of operations was estimated to be at 250K to 300K
pesos. But we praise God for all the recalculation and other factors. The
amount remaining we are praying for is 144K pesos. He will be operated at
Rivera Medical Center, Panabo City, Davao Del Norte. The 144K pesos
estimate is for the hospital expenses covering doctor's fee, 4 days of
recovery stay, hospital needs, and maintenance drugs.

We are in need and are looking for people who could help. Our family
appreciates your heart for reading my brothers concern. We need your
prayers. If you are one of the people that could help us financially as
well, our family would be grateful and overwhelmed. This is generosity. We
might not even know you personally but our friends might have reached to

There is a limit to the donations, and if ever that there will be leftover
by God's grace, the remaining amount will be given to charity. We will
