Medical History

It all started Sept. 26,2015 when she had fever. She taught it was just an ordinary fever. She did self medication with Paracetamol for a week. Her fever was on and off, she has headache and vomiting.On the second week she had her blood checked but the laboratory result was normal. Several other tests such as creatinine, potassium, sodium, urine bloodchem etc. Were done but all of it has negative result. Ultra sound full abdomen result was rectal cyst and a fatty liver

However on the third week of her on and off fever which was Oct. 19,2015 to be precise , she had to be rushed to the hospital Manila Sanitarium hospital and San Juan de dios and they check her bloodchem and urinalisys because she was already having a high fever which runs up to 40. according to her elder sister, she was already incoherent and was littering words which is very unsual of her. Only my wife remember my daughter. My daughter is halucinating that time.

She has was admitted on the same day at the Manila Medical Center. Because according to the attending doctor it was already a siezure. After 3 days of confinement she complained buzzling sounds on both of her ears., and was having severe headache. It was then that a Neurologist was assigned to take care of hrr at the hospital.

The Neurologist suspected she had Meningitis and requested to perform a Lumbar tap immediately. This was done on October 22,2015. Likewise , she had an Infectiin specialist join her in the treatment of our daughter. Before the lumbar tap results came out the infection specialist doctor prescribed TB Meningitis dtugs to our patient, because according to him my daughter manifesting signs of TB Meningitis.

Also the Neurologist prescribed mannitol to my daughter thru I.V. To reduce or remove the pressure on her brain.

However, after almost two (2) weeks , our our patient still having a high on and off ever , both doctors then was expecting for the fever to subside until finally they decided to do a (2nd) Lumbar tap on November 5, 2015. The result of the last Lumbar tap showed not just TB but this time it was confirmed that she also has Bacterial Meningitis.

The Infection Specialist sensing the danger on my daughter 's life and the urgency of the matter the resorted to his last resort and prescribed a potent dosage of antibiotics such as Vancomycin and Rocephine thru I.V. Said antibiotics was administered for almost 3 weeks and showed positive results, slowly our daughter showed signs of progress. That on November 27,2015 both the Neurologist and Infectous Specialist Doctor's finally gave the green light for our patients discharge from the hospital , on the condition that our patient come back after a week and consult an allergy doctor because she a pimple like rushes on her skin. A rechallenge was performed on her and later on found out that one of the components on her TB drugs caused the allergy reaction. Also we were required to do follow ups checks with the Neuroligist twice a month and the Infecteous specialist once a month.

upon discharge at the hospital we tought that everything was okay with ohr patient. However, on the 3rd week of December 2015, my daughter accidentally tripped while walking inside our house. She hit the floor butt first it was at this point that she started felt numbness on her right leg after a week. Eventually, both of her legs are now numb. It is for a result that we were not able to bring her to Manila for follow up checks with her doctorrs because we had no means of transportation. Aside from the fact that we are financially incapable of coping up with her medical needs. In fact, our house Title the only property that we have, is actually pawned/left at the Manila Medical Center as collateral for our unpaid bills. From then on she was again bedridden. Whenever we have the budget we would bring her to Neurologist thru Ambulance and she is being checked by the doctor's while on a strecher because she could not sit on the wheelchair too long, it is hurting her back.

Things started to worsen, when she could no longer poops and pee for several days. This started on the first week of January 15, 2016 at about 3 in the morning, we had to rushed her to the hospital for emergency treatment, because by now , both legs have swollen at the hospital. They put cateter on her and a creatinine test was done. Her creatinine has risen to 415 while the normal level was at 75-90. And they prepare our patient to stay for confinement. Ultrasound full abdomen by Gastro Interitis and Obegynecologist for Trans rectal. From then on she was given less sodium diet at the hospital

The Ortho doctor requested to undergo MRI Thoracic Spine w /out Contrast and MRI Lumbar Spine w/o Contrast. At a differrent hospital because the hospital that she was admitted did not have the facilities. January 19,2016 5:00 am schedule of MRI in Makati Medical Center. When the MRI done they found out that she has a Transverse myelitis and Mild L4-L5 to L5-S1 disc bulges, with left paracentral-foraminal disc protrusion and left paracentral annular tear in the latter.

On February 19,2016 we went back to her Neurologist to check up. We were advised by neurologist that she needs to undergo REHABILITATION at the sonnest time. Possible, she referred us to a rehab doctor Likewise , was prescribed with several medicines and instructed to see her infecteous doctor and also the allergy specialist.

Today Saturday, February 27, 2016, we are set to see a rehav doctor herebin Dasmariñas Cavite for evaluation of her case. After which maybe, we will referred to a license PT for her therapy at the house.

In this connection we are asking for help and financially assistance for the continuance of her rahabilitation and medication . Our beloved daughter is in prime of her life and wants to fullfill her dreams of alleviating the family's present situation. It is realy so sad that if you are sickly and poor in the Philippines, your chances of recovery is so slim.

4. REHABILITAION DOCTOR 600/PER VISIT once a month c/o De Lasalle Hospital Dasmariñas Cavite 600 monthly

5. PHYSICAL THERAPIST 700/PER VISIT 3×a week .

House Service for 3 weeks as per initial program by rehab doctors ( subject to change) 6.350.00 for 3 weeks
