Regenerative Farming

Hello all well-wishers,

I am in live campaign to empower communities to become economically independent thus enabling them to deal with some challenges on their own in fighting against extreme poverty.

There are several factors that contribute to acceleration of extreme poverty in the country regardless of its water sources. Join the campaign to help people build better lives and more durable futures, community by community.

At least 85% of Malawi population depends on agriculture to survive and mostly practice seasonal farming for food and income purposes. However, lack of knowledge and skills on regenerative farming methods by many citizens has resulted into food insecurity in the country which accelerates extreme poverty and hunger regardless of its available water sources. The recent system of regenerative farming introduced for the seasonal and irrigation practices to increase food supplements and farm produces/yields per year complementing towards eradicating poverty and hunger. Home, communal and school gardens are to be established in the community to:

• Increase social, ecological and economic resilience of ecosystems by generating farming incomes from permaculture strategies in formulation of eco-friendly village to keep the planet earth profitable and habitable for everyone’s interests.
• Utilize knowledge shared and capacity enabled to individuals and communities on how actively and effectively they can engage in good practices on regenerative farming that protect forests and improve biodiversity conservation.
• To create employment and entrepreneurship opportunities to a lot of youth and community benefactors while sustaining agriculture, environment and improve natural resources co-management.
