Refugee Baby Nur Heart Op

Nur Ziyanah is a four month old refugee baby girl who has never seen the outside of the hospital where she was born.

Why? Because she was born with Down Syndrome and she also has a hole in the heart that requires life-saving surgery.

Her mother is a refugee from Myanmar, living in Malaysia, who is currently unemployed, homeless and a single mother with two daughters.

A group of us have been volunteer-teaching English to these refugees for the last 3 years - they are good, honest, hard-working people who have been dealt a tough hand in life.

We have only recently done some local fund-raising to raise GBP2000 for another refugee lady who requires urgent open heart surgery and now we have been asked to help with Nur.

Please help us to help them. The surgery Nur requires costs RM30000 (approx GBP6000)  We have managed to raise RM15000 (approx GBP3000) but time is running out and we urgently need to raise the remaining RM15000 (approx GBP3000).
