Reducing maternal mortality in Ghana through sustainable architecture and construction

Another year, another build for an amazing cause! This year I am hoping to raise funds to partake in the construction of a sustainable maternity ward in Accra, Ghana with the purpose to provide expectant mothers within the marketplace community with a safe space for a smooth and healthy delivery, and reducing maternal mortality cases in the community.

The donation fee raised by volunteers goes towards financing the materials for the project. The building will feature rammed earth walls with a bamboo structure and roof.
