Typhoon Odette (International Name: Rai) ruthlessly hit my home province, Dinagat Islands on December 16, 2021 leaving thousands of families homeless, lacking food and water.
With the ferries/boats being damaged, and without electricity and cellular signal, they are now virtually and physically isolated from the rest of the country.
One of the badly hit areas is Barangay Sta. Cruz San Jose and Cagdianao Dinagat Islands. It is heartbreaking to see houses torn to the ground and people having to go to neighboring provinces as far as Davao City to buy some supplies.
We are knocking on your kind hearts to help us make the people of Dinagat Island’s situation a little better by sending them financial aid during these trying times.
Any donation you send will be used to provide our kabarangays food and home repair materials to help them rebuild their lives.
We Made A DifferenceUpdate posted by Mary Jane Leones at 08:10 pm
We made a big difference in the lives of those who were badly hit by Typhoon Odette!Despite the challenge of distance, intermittent rains and slippery roads we were able to:- distribute 12 rolls of our “Trapal ng Pag-asa” to 185 beneficiaries- feed 560 kids and 40 elderlies during our two-day. . . . .
