Can you Imagine building a road?

Firstly could you imagine:

If you had to lift your loved one on your shoulder and walk them for 3 hours to the hospital, because they are in immediate need of medical assistance?

If your kid or sibling never go to school?

Have you ever imagined that? I don’t think so.

But there is an Area in Pakistan where I come from where people are living this life.

It’s a village with 60+ families living there. I was born and raised here till I was 10 years old, it’s a beautiful and natural place, very far from the city and has almost no facilities (No roads, not even mobile signals). In 2005 there was an earthquake which also destroyed the area and local economy. The families have been rebuilding ever since.

Most of people’s monthly income is below the average (Around $50 - $70). Farming is the main profession to run the household, and they have no reach to the cities as there are no direct roads. The nearest road is reachable by walking 3+ hours on uneven mountainous surface which become dangerous and slippery in the event of rain. It’s actually a living Trauma. And I lived this same life until I was 10 when my father took me to the city for education as he was an Farmer and could afford a bit more. Most people in Ranzrah do not have own Home.

I want to make a difference in Ranzrah

These are the challenges I and community have tried to fix so far.

  1. 1. School: their is no School i want to build a 2 school one for boys and one for Girls.
  2. 2. Road: This is the most important project right now (and I'll be talking about it some more below). I am also working on it with Local Villagers.

What are the issues that can be solved if we get a Road to the people in Ranzrah?

This village had 10 deaths in last 5 years due to the people not being able to reach the hospital on time.

In those deaths, 3 of them were pregnant Ladies. Right now, the people who can afford, bring their women to city few months before delivery, but not everyone has this privilege.

What I am doing right now?

I and local villagers had a lot of talks to find ways to get a Road there and now finally decided to construct a Jeep track on our own. Local community sold 1-2 animals each family to participate and to contribute $30 -$50 from each family. I will be donating a portion of my earnings every month this year and will be gathering Donations from my circle. But the hopes are less as this needs much money to build this, but we are very very short on funds. The work is in Progress and we already got halfway half is still pending and work is in Progress now funds shortage already started and locals and I are trying to figure out this.

We project that this road will cost about $200,000 for a jeep track and $500000 (To avoid issues in rain) with sub stone based base and I'd like your help.
