Raising our bagels garden

Hola, mi nombre es Eduardo y vivo en Sámara, Costa Rica! Desde mayo de 2020, mi hermano Víctor y yo, a pesar de la crisis provocada por el COVID-19, nos armamos de valor y tomamos la decisión de abrir nuestro propio negocio, no ha sido fácil, pero nos encanta lo que hacemos, ¡unir amigos con el amor común por la comida deliciosa! Hemos ganado muchas cosas, incluyendo grandes amigos que han apoyado nuestra visión desde el principio, experiencias invaluables y la oportunidad de integrarnos y participar en el desarrollo de nuestra comunidad.

Nuestro negocio se llama Bagels Garden y es un pequeño puesto de desayunos en el que principalmente elaboramos bagels artesanales, está ubicado en un paraíso natural a menos de 100 metros de la playa y estamos cultivando plantas en nuestro jardín que utilizamos para cocinar, y han creado una atmósfera vibrante con música local, arte y deliciosos sándwiches de bagel.

Queremos seguir desarrollando nuestro proyecto y en este momento necesitamos recaudar fondos para mantenernos abiertos. Aunque es difícil pedir ayuda, estamos cerca de cerrar la puerta a este sueño si no logramos conseguir más fondos.

Mi hermano Víctor ahora enfrenta problemas de salud y ha dejado Sámara para recibir tratamiento. Por lo tanto, me quedo solo para dirigir el negocio y esto ha demostrado ser un gran desafío. Los fondos ayudarán a contratar a otro trabajador. También necesitamos comprar herramientas esenciales para hacer nuestros productos, el más importante, un horno, el que usamos no es nuestro y necesita ser devuelto.

Nos gustaría mejorar las condiciones de nuestro pequeño espacio de trabajo, que debe ser más resistente a las condiciones climáticas de los trópicos. El dinero nos permitiría trabajar de manera más eficiente y brindar un mejor servicio a nuestros clientes.

Sabemos que las cosas no son fáciles en este momento, pero también hemos sido testigos de que la unidad es fuerza y si nos apoyamos podemos superar cualquier obstáculo.

Hello, my name is Eduardo and I live in Sámara, Costa Rica! Since May 2020, my brother Víctor and I, despite the crisis caused by COVID-19, we armed ourselves with courage and made the decision to open our own business,. It has not been easy but we love what we do, bringing friends together with the common love of delicious food! We have gained many things including great friends who have supported our vision from the beginning, invaluable experiences and the opportunity to integrate and participate in the development of our community.

Our business is called Bagels Garden and it is a small breakfast stand in which we mainly make artisan bagels, it is located in a natural paradise less than 100 meters from the beach and we grow a variety of plants in our garden that we use for cooking, and have created a vibrant atmosphere with local music, art, and yummy bagel sandwiches!

We want to continue developing our project and at this moment we need to raise money in order to stay open. Although it’s hard to ask for help, we are close to closing the door on this dream without more funding.

My brother Victor has some serious health issues and has left Sámara to receive treatment. Therefore I’m left alone to run the business and this has proved to be very challenging. Funds will help to hire another worker. We also need to buy essential tools to make our products, most importantly an oven because the one that we have been using its not ours and needs to be returned.

We would like to improve the conditions of our small workspace, which needs to be more resistant to the climatic conditions of the tropics. The money would allow us work more efficiently and provide better service to our clients.

We know that things are not easy at the moment, but we have also witnessed that unity is strength and if we support each other we can overcome any obstacle.
