Raise funds for Oscar Alcantara

June 28, Oscar Alcantara, 70 years old, was cleaning tilapia for lunch for his family. Its spine accidentally punctured his left small finger (pinky).

He started feeling a tingling sensation after 6 hours. In the next 3 hours, he experienced fever and chills. He was brought to the emergency room and was given IV pain medication. As was the protocol for admitting patients, he was antigen tested. To add to our misfortune, his antigen test returned COVID-19 positive. After that, he was seen by the surgeon and informed that there was a need for the finger to be amputated due to the infection already spreading.

Diagnosis: Septic shock secondary to necrotizing fascitis left 5th digit; Covid 19 infection

As of July 12, 2023, Oscar has been in the hospital for 14 days. His hospital bill is now over ₱400,000.
