Raise Funds for a charcoal briquettes production project

I am a community Youth leader who is involved in advocacy for protection of green tree cover and campaigns against deforestation. i have been carrying out this activities through an organisation i founded and registered trading in the name Muafrika Consulting. I have been involved in the advocacy for Safe green energy. i have done consultancy on charcoal briquettes production and sales for individuals and community based groups in Taita Taveta County as a business mentor hence i have adequate experience and i am well informed with the dynamics of the business in the region. Many young people in my community involve themselves in cutting down of trees to burn charcoal and sell for income. This is used as a source of fuel elsewhere. If I get to establish the charcoal briquettes production project, I will engage most of the youth in the production process hence employment creation as a percentage of the proceeds will be distributed to the youth as salaries, we will be supplying safe green energy and also conservation of trees will be guaranteed. Raw material for the production of the charcoal briquettes will be acquired from waste from neighboring sisal plantation industry, sawdust and agricultural waste from farms.

Three broad goals will be achieved

1) Protection of green tree cover

2) youth and young mothers employment

3) provision of clean safe green energy.

Charcoal briquettes do not produce smoke, they burn longer and do not emit fumes hence friendly to the environment.
